What Can I Expect on Sunday Morning?

Sunday Services

  • Worship 9:00 am
  • Fellowship 10:15 am
  • Sunday School 10:45 am

Start time: We observe a quiet time in our sanctuary beginning at 8:50 am as we prepare our hearts and minds for worship. The worship service follows at 9:00 am.

Music: Our singing is congregational, focusing upon praising God with one voice. We sing from a mix of doctrinally rich traditional hymns and God glorifying modern choruses. The majority of our music can be found in the Trinity Hymnal.

Attire: You will find a variety of dress on Sunday mornings. From suits to business casual to jeans, with business casual being the most prominent form of attire.

Sermons: Preaching at Christ Covenant is expository, generally covering an entire book of the Bible or major portions of a particular book. Click here to access our sermons by series.

  • From ByFaith Magazine April 2009 concerning expository preaching. “But just what is expositional preaching? Mark Dever, Pastor of CHBC WaDC says that it “is that preaching that takes for the point of the sermon the point of a particular passage of Scripture. That’s it.” God’s Word brings life out of death. “For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart” (Hebrews 4:12). The Word is foundational to our salvation and to our growing in the likeness of our Savior.”
