We observe a time of quiet reflection in our sanctuary beginning at 8:50 a.m.<\/strong>, preparing our hearts and minds for worship. Our worship service begins promptly at 9:00 a.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n

Music<\/strong><\/summary>\n

Our singing is congregational<\/strong>, emphasizing the beauty of praising God together with one voice. We draw from a rich blend of doctrinally sound traditional hymns<\/strong> and God-glorifying modern choruses<\/strong>. Most of our selections can be found in the Trinity Hymnal<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n

Attire<\/strong><\/summary>\n

You will find a variety of dress<\/strong> on Sunday mornings \u2014 from suits to jeans, with business casual<\/strong> being the most common. We invite you to come as you are.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n

Children<\/strong><\/summary>\n

As a covenant community, we rejoice to include our children in worship\u2014babies and young children are welcome, and their presence is a blessing to us.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n

Sermons<\/strong><\/summary>\n

Preaching at Christ Covenant is expository<\/strong>, typically walking through entire books of the Bible or major sections within a book.

As ByFaith Magazine<\/em> (April 2009) describes, expositional preaching<\/strong> is “preaching that takes for the point of the sermon the point of a particular passage of Scripture” (Mark Dever, CHBC Washington, D.C.).
God\u2019s Word brings life from death:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any double-edged sword, penetrating even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.”<\/em> (Hebrews 4:12)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Word is foundational to both our salvation and our growth in Christ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Immediately following the worship service, we invite you to join us for light refreshments<\/strong> in our fellowship hall. It\u2019s a time to catch up, share in conversation, and reflect on the sermon over coffee and treats.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n
